How I Got Started Selling on Poshmark

How the heck did I get started on Poshmark? Well first off.. What even is Poshmark? Poshmark is a Buy and Sell platform for new and Pre-loved clothing and accessories and suggests to have up to or over 70% off of retail prices! There are so many more things that go into an app like three virtual parties a day that are specific on categories like Tops and Pants. You can share your items as if it were a Facebook feed and all of your followers can see what you're selling! If you don't want to sell and you're shopping around you simply put in your sizes and whatever you search for Poshmark will automatically filter it to fit your size and you can go from there and adjust things like "Price" or "Just in". There are hundreds of thousands of new things added every day so you never know what will be in and what you'll score for an amazing deal!

I didn't first start out on Poshmark. I actually started flipping items on Facebook market place. I sold some clothes on there that I didn't want anymore but I didn't think much of it. I went to Goodwill one day and got something that I ended up not wanting and I posted it on Facebook marketplace and it sold... something started to tick in me. I went to Goodwill again the next day and got two things. A decanter and a 70's serving tray. The decanter sold! i turned $3 into $25 in about 3 days and was soo excited. ( The tray wasn't worth anything and I actually just gave it to a family member!) Eventually I started selling things almost every day on the Market place and flipping stuff. I mean, that kind of extra money was great for me being so young! I'm not sure what happened to make it click but I remember telling Tony how cool it was and that wondering if people actually did this as a job.So, I searched and there were those magical letters, " RESELLER". I got sent to a link on Instagram and realized that there was a whole community of people who did this that were very successful. I can not tell you how many people talked about how it saved them from the "Corporate world". So many people making a lot of money, having their own flexible schedule and interacting with each other. I started right away.

I downloaded the Poshmark App, was scared to death on messing anything up and on June 29, 2017 I made my first sale! It took off slow but I was so excited for each sale that came in. I didn't really know what the heck I was doing but I've learned a lot.. a whole lot! Not only have I learned about the app but I've learned how to run my own business, I've learned how to market and brand, I've learned Customer service and so much more. I have made some HUGE mistakes and even bigger wins! I am so thankful that my mind wonders and it wondered all the way to this. This helped me to be able to stay with my mom after her huge loss, be able to spend time with my husband when he finally gets a day off, run things my own way and just learn all the time!
