As many of you know, I work on the Poshmark app full time and other platforms as well. Poshmark, every year, has a large event called Poshfest. Poshmark invites everyone who is on their app to attend their event! Mostly sellers attend the event along with some buyers and the Poshmark staff. The event consists of two days of everything Poshmark. I'm gonna tell ya'll what the days looked like and my opinion on everything!

I left on a Thursday morning and it was my first time travelng on a plane by myself but more on that in my last blog! I've never been to Dallas so this was pretty exciting. I got off the plane and my online friend & roomie for the weekend, Kimmy, was standing there waiting for me and it was so good to see a familiar face! My aunt picked us up and we grabbed some lunch as we waited for another friend. Eventually Kimmy, Megan, another awesome roomie, Briana was with us and we were in an Airbnb ! It was so fun to get to know each other getting into the room and immediately we all clicked. Unfortunately Megan didn't end up staying with us because she was so sick and the Airbnb wasn't helping her. Briana, Kimmy & I went to North park mall and got some dinner and walked around. It was the most gorgeous mall I think I've ever seen. Luxury stores everywhere! It was also my first time trying a Cinnabon cinnamon roll and yes, so good but not the best I've ever had #unpopularopinion. haha! Oh and of course there was a target run later! Anyways, it was such a good night getting to know these amazing gals and getting ready for Day 1 of Poshfest. I was SO nervous. The thought of meeting people that I knew over the internet was honestly much more intimidating than meeting people for the first time ever! This makes me thankful that I am married and don't need to use an online dating app to meet people, my anxiety would be through the roof, shout out to everyone who does use dating apps!

POSHFEST DAY 1

It was finally here and I was so nervous. I ended up taking longer than I hoped for to get ready and my nails... let's not even talk about my nails! Briana was a speaker ( woot woot ) so she had to leave us early to head over to the event. Kimmy and I eventually headed over and were hungry and ready to eat. We were pretty disappointed because for the amount of money we paid to go there and all they had for breakfast was small muffins and light fruit. We needed meat!! That stunk but I was so nervous anyways I didn't even want to eat. We sat at an empty table and eventuallly a couple more ladies came over that we had never met and the nervousness lifted. Just knowing other peoples' thoughts and seeing how I wasn't the only one who was nervous and was there for the first time was definitely reassuring. Through out the day different speakers came up who worked for Poshmark and who are sellers on the app and shared how they do things to generate and improve their business. It was basically a huge business meeting that was laid back and you could feel the energy in the room on how on fire people were to learn more from each other. That was so cool to finally be able to experience! We had different groups that went into seperate rooms and had more intimate conversations and we were able to talk to each other a little easier. They had one large room that was dedicated to boutique items, vendors, and cute 'Get ready station' where they did your hair and make up complimentary. It was the cutest! We had lunch and lingered for a while while talking and taking famous and well known photo-ops!
There were vendors all around and sponsors that were so generous and kind to have given their time, effort, and money as well.
Towards the end of the day my nerves were cooler... until I saw someone I really wanted to meet but didn't have the guts to go up to haha.
It ended up being a great Day 1 and I couldn't wait to go to dinner that night with my gals! We did and just hung out and got to know each other so much more.
POSHFEST DAY 2

The second and last day at Poshfest. My nerves were way more calmed down, I was so excited to go and knowing the next day I got to see my sweet husband was the best feeling. The second day of Poshfest was a little more messy in how they set it up but it was good to see everyone. Some rookies at Poshfest didn't come til a lot later and they all went out that morning to explore Texas. Since it was my first year I went to the event early! and because of the money paid for it duh! It was a more relaxed day of talking to people, understanding the flow to everything and opening up and just having fun! Lots of pictures were taken and people were met! I wish I could reminisce and tell you every single detail but it's way more fun to be there than to just hear it from me! That night, Poshmark held a Poshparty that you had to be 21 to get into... you can hold your cries for me since I'm only 20!! I know, I cried a little when I found out to. All the girls looked beautiful going out! Kimmy and Briana
went out looking like some hot mama's! Luckily, my Aunt Dee Dee lives in Texas and I was not alone! She took me out to see the beautiful Dallas, Texas. We went to where the Rangers new stadium is and where their huge Sports bar and grill restaurant is that's connected to the stadium. It was nothing short of amazing and fun ( still a Cardinals girl through and through). We had so much fun together and I can't wait to hangout with her again! Love you Dee Dee!
GOING HOME

The next day at almost noon, Dee Dee took kimmy and I to the airport and dropped us off. We went through security and were fine and dandy until i realized that I didn't have my license with my stuff that had gone through the scanners! I was freaking out. I gave it to the security gaurd and everything, it was right there! I asked another security guard if he could look on the other side, which he did and it wasn't there. I was waiting around looking for about 10min. until I finally went up to a desk and gave them my phone number in case they found it. I walked with Kimmy to her terminal and sat there. while I was so distressed and upset I called my husband and was freaking out like I do best sometimes and he is the best with telling me my feelings are valid and that we'll take care of it later. Couldn't do life without him ya'll! I opened my bag to get my sweatshirt right after I hung up the phone with him and GUESS WHAT I FOUND. Yep, my I.D. ... right on top! I have just got to say Airport Panic is worse than a normal at home looking for something! Of course I called Tony right away and that was an event. haha. I told kimmy bye and headed to where I was suppose to be which ended up changing and if you've ever been to the Dallas Airport you know how long those walks are! For those of you that don't know it is 27 square miles and is larger than the island of Manhattan. I was so excited to see Tony though I didn't even care! Right before our plane was suppose to board we found out there was a 30min. delay. That's totally fine, I'm still pumped. Then there was another delay.. and another... Finally 2hrs later I was on the plane and headed home! Seeing him was so welcoming and so good, it's one of the best feelings in the world! He also cleaned the house, did laundry, the dishes and he got me flowers! What a dream man!
THE RE-CAP
My over all experience was so good. It was my first time traveling by myself. I got to meet so many amazing people. My roomates definitely became some of my closest friends. There was so many things I tried and definitely so many firsts. I am so thankful for my family who helped make this possible for me. Without them this wouldn't have been possible. Poshfest, itself, was good. It was so new and different. I do wish I could have learned more but I am thankful for the experience and friendliness that was brought by so many. Will I go back? It depends. It depends on where it is, how much, and what's going on. I'm leaning towards yes, but if there is too much going on then maybe not. We shall see! That was my big trip! I can't wait for more independent business trips in the future!
