I'm tired

  I'm tired of people saying "go out and achieve your goals" ,"do what you want you're an adult and everything will work out", "you're gonna fail sometimes but you'll learn from your mistakes", and after they say this they try to critique you. They try to tell you how you should try something out or what you're suppose to do after you fail. They tell you "achieve your goals but you need to go to school and go get your bachelors and your masters" they try to treat you like a child while they just told you you're old enough to do things on your own because you're an adult. 

  This is to the people that still think they can control young people's worlds. You can't. You can't try to tell us young people what to do. Wisdom is great! Advice is great! When we ask... but when you try to control what we do you're not letting us grow. You're not letting us live our life. You're not letting us grow into the individual that we're trying to find and be. 

   We get it,you want the best for us and to watch us grow successfully, but our version of success could be totally different then yours and that's okay! Let us to discover all the lessons in life ourselves , just as you did. As we grow and live life we want you to be there for us. When we have a question , answer it honestly and with love. When we need wisdom, be that wise owl that we all need in our life. But when you're telling us things, do it with understanding and put yourself in the place we're in. We just need a friend in that moment. 

  So here's the deal. We are NOT stupid if we don't go to school.We are NOT stupid if we work at Mcdonalds. We are NOT stupid if we try something once. We are NOT stupid if we decide to go a different route and no

t go to school. We are NOT stupid if we decide to get married young. Instead of being the people we're afraid to talk to, be people that are encouraging of us, but do NOT try to control us. You don't have to check up on us ALL of the time.Let us live. Leave us alone sometimes. When we want to come to you we will and when we need advice we will ask. Let us make our own mistakes. Let us be young, let us grow and let us be free! After all, you only live once.
